Terms of Service

By using derot (“the app”), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it — no hard feelings.

Using the app

derot is a personal habit and goal tracking tool. You can use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. You're responsible for what you put in it — your goals, habits, and any data you enter.

Please don't try to break things, abuse the AI features, or do anything that would cause problems for other users or the infrastructure.

Your account

You sign in with Google. We don't store your Google password — Google handles authentication. You're responsible for keeping your account secure.

Your data

Your habits, goals, and progress data belong to you. We store it to make the app work. We don't sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything other than running the app. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.

AI features

derot uses Claude (by Anthropic) to power AI coaching features. When you use these features, your messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Don't share sensitive personal information (like financial details or passwords) in AI chats.

Availability

We're a small project and make no guarantees about uptime or availability. The app may go down for maintenance, or change significantly over time. We'll try to keep things running but can't promise perfect reliability.

Termination

You can stop using the app at any time. We can suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms or that are abusing the service.

Disclaimer

derot is provided as-is. It's not a substitute for professional health, therapy, or coaching services. We're not liable for decisions you make based on what the app tells you.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new terms.
